How did your interest in craft beer begin?
I always enjoyed beer. Each time I took a sip of a cold beer, I would say “it tastes like freedom” but I hadn’t experienced the richness of craft beer until I moved to the U.S. (for graduate business school) in the fall of 2018. I was fortunate that it was hard to escape the attraction and addiction to craft beer with 5 very great local breweries in the same town I went to school in!
What are your favorite and least favorite beer styles?
IPA!! As an Indian, I will take some credits for the beer style (lol!!). I mean we inadvertently inspired the British to invent IPA!
Least favourite beer style of mine is stouts.
If you could only drink three beers for the rest of your life what would they be?
Fresh Squeezed IPA – Deschutes
Head 90 Minute IPA – Dogfish
Lunch IPA – Maine Beer Company

He is spot-on with his analysis of beer flavours and tastings, and what I love the most about his beer descriptions is – he isn’t afraid to give an honest review. I think most of us tread on the shy-side to give poor reviews – which he boldly does, and it is refreshing!
Tell us about your favorite drinking buddy.
It is @michaelrwhite and @darbythebasset.
Michael, my fiancé, and our basset hound Darby. When we met, Michael had Darby for about a week, and we both had a shared passion for craft beer. He has been to over 400 breweries world-wide and is easily one of the most knowledgeable beer people I know. He loves to plan “beercations” for us so we can experience not only the great craft breweries but also share in the beer-culture of the community. As an Army Ranger he has the opportunity to travel a lot which has contributed to his brewery count. During these unprecedented and financially stressful times, we try to support independent craft breweries as much as possible and our local beertenders! I think we can all agree – beer people are the nicest, friendliest people!
