How did your interest in craft beer begin?

For me, my interest in Craft beer really started with my Family. I was just out of college and my sister and now brother-in-law all started trying more craft beer. The best evenings were spent around a large charcuterie board trying new beers, Saisons, Trappists, Sours. I remember the first IPA my sister gave me to try, I said tasted like skunk piss, but for some reason I kept trying them and I’ve never looked back!

What are your favorite and least favorite beer styles?

My favorite beer is a good beer, my least favorite is a bad beer. Honestly, I get this question a lot and I really don’t have a favorite because my craft beer journey has brought me around to every beer style out there. I probably drink IPAs and Pilsners the most because there’s never a time when a good IPA or pilsner doesn’t taste absolutely delicious. But I believe there’s a perfect beer for every situation, whether it’s in front of a campfire, sharing with friends or pairing with that charcuterie board. No beer style is above the rest in my opinion.

If you could only drink three beers for the rest of your life what would they be?

Well, this is tough, especially because trying new beer is what makes craft beer so wonderful. And besides, my Instagram would get rather boring after I’ve run out of ways to photograph the same three beers… But if I were to try and answer I’d say the three beers would definitely have to be a Pilsner, Dark Beer, & Sour Farmhouse (sorry IPA). Honestly, they could all probably be from Hill Farmstead (assuming I could get myself a regular supply). I’d be relatively happy living off of Mary, Everett & Anna for the rest of my days.

Tell us two truths and a lie about yourself.

  • I was in a sorority in High School.
  • I have two tattoos.
  • I won the votes for 3 Class Notables, Class Shortest, Most Artistic & Worst Case of Senioritis.
