How did your interest in craft beer begin?
My mama put me on Blue Moon and Corona when I was in college. After I graduated, my girlfriend at the time lived in Athens, GA. Whenever I visited, she took me to Creature Comforts and Terrapin Brewing Company. Since then, I started @TheIPAWay and have been to over 135 breweries across the United States. International trips coming soon!

Tell us about one of your favorite craft beer Instagram accounts.
There’s really too many to name. I really enjoy Courtney’s profile (@Black_Beer_Geek). A South Carolina native, Courtney is one of the most authentic and supportive people I have met through craft beer. We ran into each other as strangers during a Black history month event in February 2020 and have linked for beer several times since then. She also started the Baltimore Black beer drinkers club, which has been a community dedicated to helping Black people own their voice and presence in historically white craft beer environments.
Tell us about your favorite drinking buddy.
Any Black person that wants to try craft beer for the first time! I love taking new craft drinkers to breweries for the first time. Walking into a taproom can be very intimidating for Black folks, so any opportunity to make that experience more welcoming is a blessing.
Tell us two truths and a lie about yourself.

- I am a former Division I college football athlete.
- I won homecoming king in undergrad.
